4th World Nomad Games

Preparations for the 4th World Nomad Games, called the Olympics of traditional sports, continue at full speed. The 4th World Nomad Games, in which more than 3 thousand athletes from 102 countries will participate, will be held in Iznik, Bursa. 

Providing new information about the ongoing efforts, Organization Committee Chairman Dr. Hakan Kazancı stated, "Throughout history, İznik has been the cradle of culture, from Ayasofya Orhan Mosque to the Archaeology Museum, from Süleyman Paşa Medrese to the Roman Theater. Now it will become the capital of sports worldwide." Preparations are underway for the fourth edition of the World Nomad Games, dubbed the Olympics of traditional sports. Turkey will host 102 countries in Bursa İznik. In addition to athletes, heads of state will also participate in the 4th World Nomad Games, held under the patronage of the Presidency. Throughout the games, the illuminating aspects of the culture of nomadic peoples and the unifying power of sports will be emphasized. The President of the World Ethnosport Confederation, Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, leads the multinational organization of the World Nomad Games in Turkey, with continuous efforts. Dr. Hakan Kazancı, the Chairman of the Organization Committee, mentioned the accelerated field works around Lake İznik where the games will take place, and the determined traditional games that will be played. Kazancı highlighted that participants will have the opportunity to experience various traditional games, from horseback riding to archery.
